About the project:
Titled "from my hands to yours" this project investigates a perspective I have shifted into. With a new age of design being evolved into a morph of AI tools in our process, boosting our productivity, I am feeling the new direction is using those tools to continue to create something that connects to the user. Innovating on how deep our connection can be. For this project, "from my hands to yours" I have taken this quite literally, hand painting each design. Here, the connection is through my craft and the hand made nature. Each outcome is unique, holding the story of the deli.

I'll create the artwork with the intention of distilling a time and place where we are connected, where we share this piece together with me as the one who creates a garment with the hopes that you cherish it. Make it something you wear on a special occasion or in the act of creation, or even when we meet, for that time will come......

AS THE CONCEPT OF THE “DELI” CONTINUES TO EVOLVE THROUGH EXPERIENCES, ENVIRONMENTS AND TASTE. THIS PROJECT LOOKS TO QUESTION IT ALL. HOW CAN WE TRANSLATE AN IDEA INTO A DESIGN.

DELIBOY HOLDS THE SPACE FOR EVERYONE TO ENGAGE IN A DISCUSSION OF THE VALUE IN OUR PERSPECTIVE, THE LENS WE USE AS DESIGNERS AND THE METHODS USED TO EXPRESS IT ALL.

For this project I aim to progress the act of creation to etablish a deeper connection between the products we use and the people we surround ourselves with. This idea will live on past this project and is the start of a new direction for deliboy. Consider this as the testing grounds for a new design practice.

People like these make me realise how important it is to have good friends, id dive into a firing building for them, because they are there every step of the way and thats a beautiful thing to share. It is also why I think building a community like deliboy is so important...

The reason why the journey is a constant playground of options and execution

Earlier in the year I reached out to the deli community for some advice via a story update. I told them I had been developing this project yet i felt it wasn’t there yet. I knew that since we are a community with a common interest in the love of design I figured they were best for healthy critisism and feedback. After many discussions around the design, the thinking around it’s release the hoodie has now taken a more empowering form, I think that now it honours the experience between u and I. With a fleece inner, an improved illustration and custom drawstrings that i have designed, it is something I am proud of.
